Cold!
Its been very cold! The heater in the truck is broken and it has been in the teens and high 20's for the day highs! I have been staying in the truck with all my layers of clothes and tons of blankies. Mom has been having to be outside wearing all the clothes she owns to keep warm! i hear her swearing a lot out there too! She swears inside the truck too, she shakes in the truck like a chihuahua! I have those heat pouches in my seat here and its nice and warm!! Mom puts them in her boots and clothes and she still shakes like a Chihuahua!!!
All the plants seem to be suspended in time all frozen solid! They say there has been record cold temps in the last week. No snow, the sun is out and clear skies. Its so cold I hate going outside for a poop, I wish I could use the box like the cats! Or make THEM go outside!!
They say its going to snow this weekend.

Its still snowing
Was weeding in the snow. My owner was wearing more clothes than normal today. I remember this time of year last year was a lot warmer!! I havent wanted to go on many walks as its been way too cold for my little sub-tropical, Mexican doggy intolerance to this cold! I am ready for warmer days, searching out spots of sun on the carpet, laying in the grass on a warm sunny day!! I am still having to wear those itchy sweaters!!

New Day
Well, looks like we have a new president. Its really kinda of exciting. If anything, this is going to bring people together. During the Inauguration, the D.C. police reported NO arrests!! There were 2 million plus people log jammed into the Mall!! Perhaps a few passed out from all the excitement. It was like a rock concert!! Girls screaming and passing out, crying!! Amazing! I don't know of any of the last 43 presidents that caused that kind of reaction!!
My owner left the T.V. on for me while she was at work today and I watched it with all my doggy interest!! I have witnessed history!! My poor owner was working during Barack's swearing in!! Poor hers!!
You can't deny the happiness that this day has given to many people. The people have spoken and they have been delivered. I can only see this as something positive. No more discrimination against anyone any more. Those days are over. A younger, more in touch president which has never been seen before in the history of this country! Its not about wars and politics, this is going to be about people and bringing the world closer together and I don't think its going to be as hard as thought. I think those who resist are going to make it harder, but I think most of the world wants this and they seem to out number the doubters and the haters!! Look at the polls back during the elections.
Barack Obama is a catalyst, thats whats being said. He IS. Things will change regardless! Just him being in office at all, is the change!! Its undeniable. It will be hard, nothing is going to change over night!! It will take more than 4 years. I predict he WILL be re-elected. If all goes as planned. I just hope for the good of the planet and all it's flora and fauna, I see him as a catalyst for this too. I see him mostly as a catalyst for the change in how the humans interact with everything around them, from here on out.
This is a historical event. The next 4 years is going to be historical event!! My biggest question is: which breed of my species is going to get to run the halls of the White House? I think they should get a Chihuahua!! (Rescue of course!!!)
